A moody Guardswell Farm wedding weekend; bringing the outdoors in…

Andrea and Steven who shared a passion for cooking (and all things food really), the great Scottish outdoors, global adventures and in particular a show that captured it all; Race Across the World. We knew the moment their style grilling landed in our inbox that they would be a fun couple to work with and they didn’t disappoint!

Guardswell Farm, beloved by us Gloamies, was also a knockout for Andrea and Steven. From the rural Scottish landscape views from across the property, to the glass windows showcasing and opening up the modern kitchen so their guests could relish in the excitement of the foody adventure to come and overall relaxed and effortless style of the venue was what won them over, as it represented their energy as a couple, so well. Oh and that their guests could stay with them onsite and party for the whole weekend- also a huge win.

We loved getting to know them more as a couple as the styling process went on and how we could focus on reflecting their lifestyle loves into their wedding with wild, Scottish floristry in an Autumnal palette to celebrate the season and bring the outside in. Creating a tablescape with highlighted autumnal tones and creating space in the design for their caterers to place share platters down and have the food be a highlight for the guests.

For their wedding day, they wanted their guests to feel relaxed, to have fun, enjoy the look and overall feel of the day and ultimately create the best memories with them and they did exactly that. Although there were amber weather warnings popping up across Scotland, no amount of rain or high winds was going to threaten their love and wedding shine. The whole day was encapsulated so beautifully by the wonderful Patrick Phillips, who was kind enough to share these photos with us, so that we can share this beauty with you.
