Pals, we’ve got something really exciting to announce – WE’RE LAUNCHING GLOAM STATIONERY. WEEE! We’re really really thrilled to finally be offering modern wedding stationery in house via The Gloam Stationery Department. This department compliments our styling, floristry and event design services with a similarly effortless, laidback, but luxe vibe and look. Cue the confetti cannon!

Modern wedding stationery

Stationery is one of our favourite bits of wedding styling (and we know, we say that about everything – but it’s always true!) Of course, we’re big fans of signage as modern wedding decor, and stationery is also a key part of a table place setting (one of our other favourite parts of wedding styling…see, we warned you). It’s also one of the first glimpses your guests get at what to expect from your day. By the time you’re sending your save the dates or invites, the chances are you’ve got at least a rough idea of what vibe you’re going for; but your guests probably have no idea. Getting things through the post is exciting anyway – imagine how high that dial of excitement is cranked when the thing they’re receiving is pure styling PERFECTION alerting them of the best wedding they’ve ever seen? We’re talking maximum good vibes here.

The Gloam Stationery Department

And that’s why we’re so excited to be launching The Gloam Stationery Department, with 5 modern wedding stationery suites that are pre-designed but fully customisable. In our opinion, this is totally the best of both worlds: their pre-designed element means that you can choose your starting point and avoid that all-consuming blank page fear, but the customisation available means that they’re totally flexible to your needs and personal flourishes. Another benefit of our super cool (if we do say so ourselves) suites is that they help you effortlessly coordinate your styling. You can incorporate everything from save the dates and invites to on the day pieces like menus and name cards, and even signage and decor too.

Customisable modern wedding stationery

How much you want to personalise is totally up to you, and we’re here to help guide you every step of the way. At the most stripped down level, all we need from you is any wording changes you’d like, your preferred paper colour and texture (don’t forget the envelopes!), and to know what size and layout you’re looking for. Then, depending on your vision, we can add any exciting extra elements that you fall in love with! (Need some inspiration? So, without further ado – shall we introduce you to the stars of the show? Folks, meet The Gloam Collection: we just know it’s the modern wedding stationery you’ve always dreamed of. (And how do we know this? Well, we designed it with you in mind. Simple!)

Collection One – Boho Charm

As modern wedding stationery designs go, Boho Charm is an instant classic. And by that we don’t mean super boring and traditional. We mean it’s a perfectly balanced design marrying contemporary cool with vintage charm. It’s bohemian chic and vintage charm given a 2021 upgrade, with a palette of beautiful earthy tones and 3 staple fonts that scream sophistication. 

…thinking about it, sophistication probably doesn’t scream, does it? Fine. These fonts whisper it at you. Loudly. 

Collection Two – Natural Minimal

The Natural Minimal suite is minimal design with maximum impact. It features elegant, elevated modern wedding stationery in a colour palette drawing from the muted, understated hues we can find in organic matter: slate greys, taupe, fawn, and that kind of gorgeous mauve shade that you find in pebbles on the beach. And it’s not just the colours that are natural – oh no, baby! The Natural Minimal collection also prioritises natural materials and shines a spotlight on the beauty of nature’s textures.

Collection Three – Colour Pop 

Our Colour Pop cuties are the same luxe look you’ve come to know and love from us by now, with added splashes of joyful colour. The suites are bright and bold without being too in your face. It’s playful and fun whilst still suiting a grown up’s do (and the alcohol we know is going to be consumed!) The main font is an ever-so-slightly-chunky but absolutely-definitely-funky serif that pairs perfectly with the modern, round sans serif and contemporary calligraphy that completes the designs.

Collection Four – Modern Classic

This fourth collection does exactly what it says on the tin without ever looking off the shelf. It’s a modern wedding stationery suite for fans of a minimalist aesthetic. It is perfect for lovers looking to emulate industrial cool. It uses three elegant and complementary fonts, and comes in monochrome as standard to really let the space do the talking.

Collection Five – Soft Luxe

Last but by no means least in our newly launched modern wedding stationery collections, we present to you: Soft Luxe. Imagine your favourite velvet cushions in rich tonal colours and that are buttery soft to the touch, and you’re getting somewhere close! It’s refined vintage excellence, resulting in effortless cool (unless you choose the rosier end of the palette, in which case – it brings the warmth. Either way, you’re onto a winner!)
