We have been lucky enough to find some pockets of joy during these testing months. Those uplifting moments have mainly come from being asked to help couples with their small intimate wedding celebrations.  A guardswell farm wedding – a magical elopement – can truly lift the spirits.

One such wedding was the delightfully romantic wedding of Ellie and Rob. We played but a small part by providing a lush greenery bouquet and buttonhole, but we were delighted to be asked.

The flowers at a guardswell farm wedding

Kate adores working with a green, textured palette as part of our floristry by gloam service.  Ellie wanted something simple that would fit with the leafy forest surrounding, with little delicate pops of white.  A buttonhole for Rob to match included eucalyptus, thistle and fern.

The chosen spot

The couple headed to Guardswell Farm, Perthshire. Many of you will already know that this is one of our favourite places on earth!  Where better to wander in the fields, relish the views and cosy up in a cabin.  If that’s not a dreamy wedding day we don’t know what is! A guardswell farm wedding is a dream.

The ceremony

The couple were married by Claire Digance, a truly remarkable human and humanist celebrant. It took place on the hillside by the couples cabin and was witnessed by the venue owner and the photographer. As intimate as it gets. A guardswell farm wedding tends to be a relaxed affair – and this was no different. All the romance was captured so beautifully by Lina Hayes – thank you so much for sharing these images with us Lina!
