This summer, we had the pleasure of helping to design elements for the spectacular interfaith Scottish wedding of Sarika and Peter at the stunning Gilmerton House. This weekend celebration beautifully intertwined their cultural traditions, creating an atmosphere of warmth, elegance, and joy. The couple envisioned a soft summer palette, featuring delicate whites, gentle blues, lilacs, and lush greens. Our Gloam team was delighted to bring their vision to life through floral design, on-the-day stationery, draping and gorgeous tablescaping.
Guests arrived on Friday evening for an intimate dinner in The Music Room, where simple floral arrangements and soft table details set the tone for the celebrations to come. The ambiance was relaxed and inviting, making everyone feel at home.
The wedding itself began with a breathtaking Hindu ceremony, adorned with soft white florals and abundant foliage. The understated colour palette beautifully highlighted the detailed wedding attire, allowing the couple to shine.
In the afternoon, the humanist ceremony took place in The Laundry, featuring whimsical touches of soft blues and lilacs that echoed the bride’s glorious second dress.
As evening fell, the reception came to life under a beautifully draped canvas. Our team created a stunning central hanging foliage design above the elegantly dressed tables, creating a magical setting for the party.
Sarika and Peter’s interfaith Scottish wedding was a perfect blend of natural beauty and cultural richness, expertly planned by Mercedes of Scarlett & Bell and beautifully captured by Patrick Philips Photography.
