Can I have a fabulous small wedding?

Yes, you absolutely can, but don’t just take our word for it…

Here is all the proof you need. We were lucky enough to be involved with Becky and Rowley’s wedding when they decided that Covid 19 would not stand in their way. The couple gathered their nearest and dearest, sticking to all the rules, and held the most spectacularly beautiful small Scottish wedding at The Cow Shed Crail. And now, not only are they married, but they also have a big party to look forward to in 2021.

The Ceremony

With Claire Fleck Photography behind the lens, we can share how this couple upped the anti to have an intimate, stylish, micro wedding celebration.

Becky and Rowley really benefited from the freedom to get creative with the wedding ceremony set-up. With just 20 guests, the couple wanted to go all out with their seating arrangements. Bring on the very best of all Gloam’s armchairs, sofas, and chairs.

Guests were delighted with the mix-matched approach. This medley of seating nooks created a wonderfully relaxed and laid-back look. An inspired way to keep family bubbles together and all the guests could sit back, relax, and relish in the proceedings.

Small Numbers mean treats for guests

With a much smaller guest list, you can get creative with your budget and really add to the details. Becky and Rowley gifted each guest a small floral treat. With buttonholes and corsages for all. An excellent way to make everyone feel special and part of the moment.

Small numbers remove a great deal of nervousness and help couples feel much more able to do things their way. A weight is lifted when traditions don’t apply, and the rules go out the window. Becky opted for a less traditional dress, and it was sensational.

The inspo behind the flowers

Becky’s beautiful and romantic Needle and Thread London frock was the inspiration behind all the bouquets we made for her and her bridesmaids. We were able to use a stunning array of locally grown Scottish flowers. Colourful, happy, and bouncy.

Dinner for 20

Following their drinks reception, as the light began to fade, the couple joined their fellow guests for a celebratory meal. Conversation flowed, and everyone had the chance to connect and feel that they were part of the day.

While the guest list may have been smaller, the joy and intensity were not diminished. Quality time, meaningful connections, and lasting memories were the order of the day. Small is beautiful.

Congratuations to this pair of dreamboats and thank you for letting us be part of your day!
