Gloam was established in 2017 by us – Kate and Jean – with a shared love of thoughtful design and a clear ambition to create exceptional work. Like many growing businesses, one project led to another, clients came back with bolder ideas, opportunities opened up, and before long, we found ourselves building something much broader than we’d imagined – a multidisciplinary design house working across weddings, events, and commercial projects throughout the UK alongside some of the country’s leading brands and international partners. Throughout that growth, we've stayed thoughtful about what we take on and true to the kind of work we want to create. While the scale of our projects has changed, we can assure you that the things that matter most to us haven't.
{About} Gloam is a multidisciplinary, creative design house and production partner based in Scotland, working with destination planners, commercial brands, venues and creative teams to deliver high-quality events and transform physical spaces across the UK.
At Gloam, we still care about good design in the deepest sense – not just things looking beautiful, but spaces feeling right. We care about atmosphere, warmth, and the details people might not always notice consciously but absolutely feel when they’re standing in a room. We care about creating work that feels thoughtful and personal to each client. We both know what it’s like to work hard, to care a lot, and to pour yourself into creative work. We also know that people do their best work when they feel trusted, supported, and properly looked after. So at the same time, we're building the kind of company we always wanted to work for. One that offers creative nourishment alongside security, ambitious projects alongside balance, and a culture where talented people can do the work they love without sacrificing what it means to lead a personal life.

Gloam is now supported by an incredibly talented group of creatives, and one of the things we’re most proud of is the mix of backgrounds and perspectives that shape the studio. Between us, there’s experience spanning brand marketing, commercial installations and design, visual merchandising, hospitality, PR, and events, which means the way we approach a project is rarely from one angle alone. That balance between creative thinking and practical delivery is a huge part of how we work. We love ideas, but we also care deeply about how those ideas will come together on site, how they’ll hold up over the course of a long day, and what will make the process smoother for everyone involved. We’re so fortunate to have such wonderful people on our side, committed to delivering nothing but exceptional experiences for our clients.
{ Origin } Gloam stems from the old Scots word gloaming – the soft light at the close of day, somewhere between daylight and dusk. When the world seems to shift and time slows a little, offering you a moment to pause and take it all in.

What began as a design and floral studio has evolved into a fully operational, multi-layered company, allowing us to support dynamic projects from initial concept through to production. Each year has brought opportunities to do more of what we love, work on projects that challenge us, and build a team capable of delivering them. Today, Gloam works primarily across two areas: Weddings and Events, and Brands and Spaces.
