A Celebration of Love on the First Day of Summer
Georgia and Bryony tied the knot at the beautiful Byre at Inchyra, in the heart of Perthshire, on the first day of summer—one of the best days on the Scottish calendar. The sunshine seemed to shine just for these two incredible women as their favorite people gathered to witness and celebrate their love.
We wanted to add to the joy with a tribute to a summery garden inspired palette – a harmonious blend of uplifting pinks, delicate blues, soothing lilacs, zesty orange, vivacious violets, buttery yellow and soft creams. This palette truly reflected the vibrant spirit of the Scottish summer season. Complemented by lush, supporting foliage, to create a visually stunning, refreshing and colourful backdrop .
A special shoutout to the all-female “bride squad,” who looked stunning in their collection of sky-blue dresses and pantsuits, accented by vibrant pops of orange—yes, we see you! The bright bouquets beautifully complemented your outfits, creating a joyful and striking visual that was a delight to behold.
The Ceremony
Their ceremony unfolded in the estate’s enchanting walled garden, featuring a dreamy, tree-lined aisle. Our floristry team set up an array of plinths adorned with wild, floral arrangements, complemented by two urns placed on the grass to add height and dimension. This beautifully framed the couple as they exchanged their vows.
The Reception
The venue, with its famed Inchyra blue doors, received a floral enhancement to warmly welcome guests and create an eye-catching moment as they returned to the Byre after their stroll from the walled garden. Our large terracotta pots added warmth and contrast, perfectly complementing the surroundings.
Inside the barn, our floristry team arranged a string of bud vases along each banquet-style trestle table, while placing vibrant summer arrangements at the entrance and on the dance floor. We used a mix of mossed troughs and terracotta pots to showcase the beauty of local Scottish blooms, adding a touch of magic to this delightful occasion.
Georgia and Bryony were a joy to work with, and their deep adoration for each other radiates through the stunning photography captured by Wonderful and Strange. We feel grateful to have been part of this summer celebration, made even more special with the support of many other talented Scottish suppliers.
